Recipe: Berry Banana Smoothie

Fun fact… strawberries are low in fat and calories, high in vitamin C, fiber, folic acid, and potassium! They’re like a super fruit, and to top that off, according to some super old folklore, apparently if you split a double strawberry in half and share it with someone, you’ll fall in love!

Banana Berry Smoothie
makes just one smoothie for you!

one banana, peeled
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
one large scoop of vanilla ice cream*
1/4 cup of vanilla yogurt*

Freeze the berries overnight. Throw all ingredients into a blender and blend! It’s that easy. Garnish with some more berries and a straw if you’re feeling crazy.

*For those who are gluten-free, ensure that your yogurt and ice cream are gluten-free.
