Dark Chocolate Avocado TrufflesIMG_5750
makes two dozen truffles, takes about an hour and fifteen minutes

  • One 10 oz. bag dark chocolate chips
  • One large avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 2 T. dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 T. powdered sugar
  1. Mash or blend the avocado in a small bowl until there are no visible chunks. Set aside.
  2. Pour the dark chocolate chips into a medium sized microwavable bowl. Begin heating the chocolate in about 15 second increments, stirring between each. Continue until fully melted and creamy, about a total of a minute and a half or so. (Note: You don’t want to burn the chocolate!)
  3. Once chocolate is fully melted, scoop the mashed avocado into the chocolate and mix well.
  4. Refrigerate for 45 minutes to an hour.
  5. Combine the powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Set aside.
  6. Remove the chocolate-avocado mixture from the fridge and begin scooping out and rolling it into balls.
  7. Roll each ball in the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
  8. Refrigerate until served.

Enjoy!! 🙂
